Block House in Alma, MI is looking for a new cook to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable.
Block House brings people together with an unforgettable atmosphere; delicious food and drinks, welcoming service, and a grassroots approach to gaming, live streams, and special events.
Located in a renovated opera house in downtown Alma, Michigan, Block House screens local events and cult classic films on 9ft barrel vaults. We gather groups for seasonal wine and food events, gaming experiences, and much more. And our stage hosts official collegiate, high school and youth esports competitions. This is all backed by a gaming server and broadcast backbone that serves the community as a local production hub.
Our menu ranges from local comforts to global cuisine. Food service includes dinner, brunch on weekends, and weekday lunch hours. The kitchen is led by Chef Ethan Smerdon, and the team is seeking a team player that will assist in growing our kitchen by offering flexibility, new ideas, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
