As a Bar Manager at Trillium, you will support the daily operations of both the lobby bar and restaurant beverage service, ensuring a consistent, high-quality guest experience through excellent service, staff leadership, and efficient bar management.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Support the Restaurant Manager by overseeing bar operations for both the lobby and restaurant service areas.
- Assist with daily bar procedures including opening, losing, restocking, and cleanliness of all bar spaces and storage areas.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and responsible alcohol service standards.
- Assist in staff supervision including hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching bartenders, and servers.
- Help develop and maintain a strong beverage program by contributing to menu updates and specialty cocktail creation.
- Ensure team adherence to recipes, portion standards, and presentation expectations.
- Provide exceptional guest service and resolve customer concerns or complaints professionally and promptly.
- Monitor and control inventory levels, waste, and labor to stay within budget parameters.
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate creative and relevant offerings.
- Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative team environment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a supervisory or management role within the bar or hospitality industry.
- Strong working knowledge of bar operations, inventory management, and beverage service standards.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Experience with crafting cocktails, wine and spirit knowledge, and staff training.
- Familiarity with POS systems, bar inventory software, and related technology.
- TIPs Certification or equivalent in responsible alcohol service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the bar and restaurant areas.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds unassisted.
