Position Overview

Bloc Resources is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Lighting Sales Representative 3 to lead sales efforts for advanced lighting products and solutions. This senior-level role is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key client relationships, and delivering customized, energy-efficient lighting solutions to commercial and industrial clients.

The ideal candidate will bring 10–15 years of lighting or technical sales experience, deep product knowledge, and a strong ability to influence decision-makers. This role requires a consultative sales approach, combining technical expertise with strategic business development to meet and exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Build, maintain, and expand relationships with existing clients and key accounts
  • Understand client needs, business goals, and operational challenges to provide tailored lighting solutions
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products and services

New Business Development

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new clients across commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow market share
  • Generate leads through networking, referrals, and industry engagement

Consultative Sales & Technical Expertise

  • Provide expert guidance on lighting systems, including LED technologies, fixtures, controls, and energy-efficient solutions
  • Conduct site assessments and recommend customized lighting solutions aligned with client objectives and budgets
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, sustainability trends, and industry standards

Sales Presentations & Product Demonstrations

  • Deliver compelling presentations that clearly communicate product features, benefits, and return on investment (ROI)
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, client-friendly messaging

Proposal Development & Execution

  • Prepare detailed and customized proposals, including pricing, product specifications, and implementation timelines
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility

Negotiation & Contract Management

  • Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and contracts to close deals successfully
  • Ensure agreements align with company objectives and client expectations

Order & Project Coordination

  • Oversee the order lifecycle, including processing, delivery, and coordination with installation teams
  • Ensure seamless execution and high levels of customer satisfaction

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences
  • Identify new opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly

Sales Leadership & Mentorship

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior sales team members
  • Support team development, training, and achievement of collective sales goals

Networking & Industry Engagement

  • Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
  • Build and maintain a strong professional network to drive business opportunities

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities using CRM tools
  • Generate regular reports on pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics
  • Track progress toward sales targets and adjust strategies as needed

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10–15 years of experience in lighting sales, electrical sales, or a related technical sales field
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Experience managing key accounts and complex sales cycles

  • Experience with proposal development tools and sales reporting systems
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in energy services, electrical systems, or construction-related sales

Physical Requirements
