As a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic, you'll work independently to ensure our fleet is safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance. You'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of service and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and assign daily maintenance tasks and repairs.
- Oversee fleet compliance with DOT and other regulatory standards.
- Manage inventory control, parts procurement, and vendor relationships.
- Coordinate external repairs and test vehicles for quality assurance.
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting for the maintenance department.
- Ensure department operations remain within budget and aligned with company goals.
What You Bring:
- 3 years of hands-on experience in truck, light, or heavy equipment maintenance (waste industry experience a plus).
- Strong knowledge of automobile systems.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
