Job Title: Dental Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures including exams, fillings, crowns, extractions, and cosmetic cases
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment following OSHA guidelines
- Take dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care
- Record patient medical histories and assist in maintaining accurate patient records
- Ensure patients are comfortable before, during, and after their treatments
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and restock as necessary
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow throughout the day
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless operations
Qualifications:
- Experience working as a Dental Assistant preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to take dental X-rays
- Familiarity with dental practice management software Open Dental is a plus, but not required
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions accurately
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude
