We are looking for a talented, motivated, and dependable Hair Stylist to join our team at our Dover, DE location. As a Hair Stylist, you will provide a variety of professional hair services while helping maintain a welcoming, clean, and positive salon environment. You will also assist with customer service, bookings, retail sales, and salon operations to help ensure every client leaves feeling confident and satisfied.
Ultimately, you will play a key role in building lasting relationships with clients while contributing to the continued growth and success of our salon.

Responsibilities
- Welcome clients and provide exceptional customer service by understanding their hair care goals and preferences.
- Perform a variety of professional hair services, including:
- Shampooing and conditioning
- Blow-drying and styling
- Silk presses
- Basic cornrow foundation braids
- Individual braids
- Protective styles
- Hair treatments
- Perform hair coloring services, including highlights, ombré, balayage, root touch-ups, and full color applications.
- Recommend hairstyles, treatments, and products based on each client's hair type and desired results.
- Educate clients on proper hair maintenance and at-home care.
- Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Manage appointments, assist with bookings, and accommodate walk-in clients when possible.
- Help maintain salon inventory and assist with product orders as needed.
- Promote and sell retail products and salon services when appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation in accordance with salon standards.
- Sterilize tools and equipment after each client.
- Assist with salon marketing efforts by encouraging client reviews, referrals, and social media engagement.
- Collaborate with fellow stylists to create a positive and professional team environment.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a Hair Stylist is preferred.
- Cosmetology license is preferred where required by state regulations.
- Experience with braiding, styling, coloring, and hair treatments is preferred.
- Knowledge of current hair trends, products, and techniques.
- Ability to perform hair straightening, curling, and styling using professional tools.
- Familiarity with a variety of hair care products and treatments.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, are preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong sales and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced salon environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
