Position Overview
Blissful Bakery & Cafe is looking for a dependable, energetic, and customer-focused team member to prepare breakfast and lunch sandwiches in a cafe environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with food, can multitask during busy service hours, and takes pride in preparing fresh, delicious food quickly and consistently.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast sandwiches, including egg, cheese, bacon, sausage, and other breakfast options.
- Prepare and assemble lunch sandwiches, wraps, paninis, and other menu items.
- Follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary food preparation area.
- Ensure food is prepared accurately and served in a timely manner.
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures.
- Restock ingredients and maintain adequate supplies throughout the shift.
- Assist with basic food preparation, including slicing vegetables, portioning ingredients, and preparing sandwich toppings.
- Monitor food quality and freshness.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
- Work efficiently with team members during busy breakfast and lunch rushes.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking.
- Provide friendly, professional service when interacting with customers.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cafe, deli, restaurant, or quick-service kitchen preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and food quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize orders.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting supplies as needed.
- Willingness to learn recipes, procedures, and menu items.
- Food safety knowledge preferred.
