Job Summary
The Front End Associate plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth checkout experience for our customers. Duties
- Operate cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately.
- Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and processing credit/debit card payments.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selections.
- Demonstrate products to customers and promote sales through effective communication.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front end of the store.
- Assist in supervising junior staff members when required, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
- Utilize retail math skills to process transactions accurately and manage register balances.
- Exhibit professional phone etiquette when addressing customer calls or inquiries.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or a similar customer-facing role is preferred.
- Proficiency with cash registers and POS systems is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of retail math concepts for accurate transaction processing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Experience in supervising staff is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to handle cash responsibly and maintain accurate financial records.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
