Duties
- Take dogs on engaging walks tailored to their energy levels and needs, ensuring proper exercise and mental stimulation
- Provide attentive pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medications if needed, and maintaining daily routines
- Handle animals with gentle restraint techniques during grooming, vet visits, or training sessions to ensure safety for both pets and handlers
- Assist with basic dog training exercises to promote good behavior and socialization skills
- Monitor pet health and behavior, reporting any concerns or abnormalities to pet owners or veterinary professionals
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by cleaning up after pets during walks and visits
- Offer additional pet care services such as grooming or administering veterinary-approved treatments when required
Experience
- Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care roles is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures enhances your ability to provide comprehensive care
- Experience with animal restraint, pet grooming, and kennel management is a plus
- Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles demonstrates a strong understanding of animal health needs
- Familiarity with heavy lifting (e.g., lifting large dogs or supplies) ensures you can handle physical demands safely
