Role Overview
Want to be in the sun and work on the beach with an awesome team this season? The Barbara Beach Club is looking for Beach Club Attendants to deliver a seamless, elevated guest experience on the sand.
Beach attendant support the daily setup and breakdown of the beach club, host guests during service and support front desk check-ins and retail purchases as needed too.

What to Expect
This is a hands-on role that blends physical work with guest-facing hospitality. Beach Attendants are responsible for building and breaking down set-ups daily — while also delivering a great guest experience through check-ins, greetings, and POS transactions.

Season Shift Structure
Training in April. Service spans May - October.
Shifts vary based on business needs and sunset timing, generally:
- Opening (~8am-2:30pm)
- Closing (~2:30pm-9pm)
Consistent weekend availability and some holidays required; peak summer weeks may include 4-5 shifts per week
Core Responsibilities
Club Setup & Breakdown - All Staff
- Participate in daily setup or breakdown of the full beach club
- Includes chairs, umbrellas, cabanas, games, front desk, merchandise, and storage
- Follow Field Lead direction to ensure efficient and consistent execution
- This is a shared responsibility across all roles
- During service, you'll be assigned to Beach Support or Front Desk
Beach Support, During Service (when assigned):
- Set up and maintain guest lounge areas
- Conduct regular beach walks and guest check-ups
- Fulfill add-on requests (equipment, food, beverage, merch)
- Maintain cleanliness, towel stock, and overall presentation
- Support Front Desk during peak times as needed
Front Desk, During Service (when assigned):
- Serve as primary guest point of contact
- Confidently and knowledgeably speak to all services, offerings, and add-ons
- Check in guests and manage reservations/walk-ups
- Process payments and upsell packages/add-ons
- Coordinate with beach team for seating turnovers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming check-in area

- Communicate clearly with Front Desk, Field Leads, and all team members
- Uphold elevated guest service standards at all times
- Show up on time and prepared for physically active shifts
- Work safely and follow proper lifting and equipment handling practices
Qualifications & Preferred Experience
- Hospitality, events, or beach operations experience preferred
- Experience with POS systems or guest-facing sales is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Positive attitude and reliable team-oriented mindset
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, fluid environment
- Comfortable working outdoors in sun and sand
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Push/pull up to 100 lbs
- Stand for extended periods
- Bend, carry, walk, kneel, etc.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
