Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Residence Hall Director located in Brenham, TX. The Residence Hall Director is responsible for the management and supervision of on-campus housing facilities while fostering a positive and inclusive residential environment. Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations of residence halls, coordinating staff training and development, planning and implementing student engagement programs, addressing resident concerns, maintaining safety and security measures, and ensuring compliance with college housing policies.
Qualifications
- Leadership and organizational skills for managing residence hall operations and supervising staff
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills to support and engage with residents
- Experience in event planning, program development, and fostering a sense of community among diverse groups
- Knowledge of best practices in student affairs, campus safety, and housing policies
- Proficient with administrative tasks such as report writing, budgeting, and resource management
- Bachelor’s degree in Student Affairs, Education, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- Prior experience in student housing or residential life is strongly preferred
- Availability to work flexible hours and respond to on-call emergencies as needed
