Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests as they arrive, making them feel comfortable and appreciated from the first moment.
- Manage reservation bookings efficiently using Open Table.
- Coordinate with the serving staff to optimize table turnover and guest flow, maintaining a lively yet organized atmosphere.
- Answer guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times or menu options when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to reflect our commitment to hospitality excellence.
- Assist in managing waitlists during busy hours, communicating wait times clearly and positively to guests.
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring every guest feels valued.
- Collaborate with team members across food service and hospitality departments to deliver seamless guest experiences.
- Uphold safety standards and follow health guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Host or in a customer service role within restaurants or hospitality environments is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests and team members.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, food service procedures, and guest services enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills are essential for creating memorable interactions.
- Ability to handle busy periods with energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism while maintaining attention to detail.
- Hospitality or hotel experience is a plus but not required; a passion for delivering outstanding customer service is key.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, move quickly between tasks, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
