Elementary Lunch & Student Support Aide (Part-Time)
Hours: 11:35 a.m. – 3:24 p.m.
Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School is seeking a caring, dependable, and student-centered Lunch & Student Support Aide to work with students in grades K–5.
The successful candidate will be assigned to specific classes during lunch periods and will help provide a safe, positive, and supportive environment for students throughout the afternoon.
Responsibilities include:
· Supervise students during their assigned lunch period.
· Monitor student behavior and promote a safe, respectful cafeteria environment.
· Escort and supervise students as they transition between lunch and recess.
· Assist classroom teachers with student support and classroom activities following lunch.
· Help students transition smoothly to afternoon dismissal.
· Foster positive relationships with students while reinforcing school expectations.
· Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other staff members.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred.
· Ability to build positive relationships with children while maintaining appropriate supervision.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Dependable, patient, flexible, and able to work collaboratively as part of a school team.
