General Purpose:
The Administrative and Accounting Assistant provides support to the General Manager and Controller in the financial and administrative operations of Blessings Golf Club. This position assists with accounting functions, recordkeeping, HR processes, and special projects, ensuring that the Club operates efficiently and in accordance with established policies and standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assists with daily and monthly reconciliations, closing activities, and other accounting functions as needed.
· Maintains accurate and organized records, files, and databases, including membership and personnel information.
· Processes and reviews approved invoices; updates and maintains the general ledger and other financial records.
· Assists with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, expense tracking, and cash reporting.
· Prepares and processes member payments and Accounts Receivable as directed.
· Reconciles vendor statements, accounts payable, and general ledger accounts as needed.
· Assists with day-to-day operational needs across departments, providing administrative, financial, and logistical support as assigned by management.
· Coordinates with department heads to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
· Supports communication and collaboration between departments to maintain accuracy and consistency of information.
· Reviews and edits Club communications, including newsletters, announcements, signage, and member correspondence to ensure clarity and professionalism.
· Supports planning and execution of initiatives, programs, and administrative processes.
· Assists in the administration of human resource systems, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
· Coordinates new employee onboarding, including orientation and benefits overview.
· Prepares summaries, reports, and presentations as requested by management.
· Performs clerical and administrative duties such as typing, copying, correspondence, and recording meeting minutes.
· Ensures legally required postings, safety notices, and compliance information are displayed throughout the facility.
· Maintains regular, reliable, and professional attendance.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
· Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent preferred.
· Minimum two (2) years of verifiable bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to review documents for professionalism.
· Familiarity with Club or hospitality operations preferred; ability to adapt to changing priorities across multiple departments.
Physical Demands:
· Frequently sits, uses hands, reaches with arms and hands, and communicates verbally.
· Occasionally stands, walks, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, or crouches.
· Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment:
Work is primarily performed in an office setting with a noise level that is generally moderate.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic accounting software.
· Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
· Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently; bilingual skills are considered an asset.
· Professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with members, guests, and team members.
