Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Young Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners during their critical early development stages. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, motor skills development, and social-emotional learning tailored to toddlers’ needs using our STREAMin3 curriculum.
- Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management.
- Engage children in activities that promote early childhood development, including play-based learning, storytelling, music, movement, and basic math concepts.
- Monitor and document each child's progress through observations and assessments aligned with developmental milestones and standardized testing where applicable.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, share insights on behavior management strategies, and support early intervention efforts when needed.
- Maintain classroom organization, manage daily routines efficiently, and ensure adherence to childcare safety standards and regulations.
- Incorporate Play-Based or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences when appropriate.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to toddlers and preschool-aged children.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management within early childhood education settings.
- Ability to work effectively with children requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques that foster positive social interactions.
- Familiarity with childcare regulations, daycare operations, and child welfare best practices.
- Knowledge of literacy education strategies, teaching physical education activities, and incorporating math concepts into daily routines.
- Experience with standardized testing procedures or assessments used in early childhood settings.
