Young Toddler Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Young Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners during their critical early development stages. In this role, you will create a warm, engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, motor skills development, and social-emotional learning tailored to toddlers’ needs using our STREAMin3 curriculum.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management.
• Engage children in activities that promote early childhood development, including play-based learning, storytelling, music, movement, and basic math concepts.
• Monitor and document each child's progress through observations and assessments aligned with developmental milestones and standardized testing where applicable.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, share insights on behavior management strategies, and support early intervention efforts when needed.
• Maintain classroom organization, manage daily routines efficiently, and ensure adherence to childcare safety standards and regulations.
• Incorporate Play-Based or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences when appropriate.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to toddlers and preschool-aged children.
• Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management within early childhood education settings.
• Ability to work effectively with children requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Proficiency in behavior management techniques that foster positive social interactions.
• Familiarity with childcare regulations, daycare operations, and child welfare best practices.
• Knowledge of literacy education strategies, teaching physical education activities, and incorporating math concepts into daily routines.
• Experience with standardized testing procedures or assessments used in early childhood settings.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
