This position performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the preparation and distribution of food. The position is expected to prepare food according to written and verbal instruction in accordance with predetermined time schedules. This position will consult with their supervisor(s) about any variances from production items or levels. The position will assist in other areas to complete food preparations for the day. The position will assist other areas of the kitchen to ensure production, patient needs, and the department needs are completed.

- Batch Cooking
- Compassionately cook for patients, including a variety of therapeutic diets
- Produce high quality food
- Ability to operate food service equipment
- Cleaning and sanitizing food service equipment
- Effectively manage time
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Training/Experience
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Minimum of one year of experience with cooking from a recipe in a restaurant/professional like setting
- Interpersonal relationships
- Effective and respectful verbal communication
High School graduate or equivalent
License/Certifications/Special Requirements
- Completion of Food Safety CBL within 30 days of hire
- Non-Exempt Hourly
