This position is responsible for clerical and reception duties for the department, including answering telephone, preparation of routine paperwork, form completion, patient scheduling, data entry, mailing list maintenance, and other assigned clerical duties. The receptionist works under the direct supervision of the Office Manager. This position is responsible for providing assistance with patient care activities and non-nursing tasks, under the direct supervision of the RN.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals and direction of the Performance Improvement / Patient Safety Plan at Blessing Hospital.

Education/Training/Experience
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some college and/or clerical experience.
- Excellent typing skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Medical terminology
- Non-exempt hourly
