Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Maintain floors through cleaning, floor care, and carpet cleaning techniques to keep surfaces spotless and safe.
• Handle laundry duties such as washing, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Assist with outdoor work tasks including sweeping walkways or maintaining outdoor areas when required.
• Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Manage time effectively to complete daily tasks within designated schedules while prioritizing urgent requests.
• Support housekeeping management by reporting maintenance issues or supply shortages promptly.
• Practice manual handling techniques safely when lifting heavy items or moving furniture during cleaning routines.

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of sanitation procedures.
• Knowledge of residential cleaning practices including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and carpet cleaning.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and other tools.
• Ability to handle cleaning detergents safely while following proper usage guidelines.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent time management to meet daily deadlines efficiently.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor work activities required for comprehensive cleaning tasks.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients or residents about their needs.
• Experience in laundry services and outdoor maintenance tasks is a plus.
• Basic cooking knowledge is beneficial for supporting residential housekeeping duties where applicable.
• Knowledge of manual handling safety protocols to prevent injuries during heavy lifting or furniture movement.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
