Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and satisfaction
- Assist customers in product selection by offering knowledgeable advice and conducting engaging product demonstrations
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising, stocking, and regular updates to attract customer attention
- Upsell complementary products or services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer needs are met
- Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, restocking shelves, and participating in stock counts
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Ensure the sales area remains clean, organized, and inviting at all times
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience preferred, especially within grocery stores or similar fast-paced environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team coordination abilities
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage diverse customers in multiple languages (bilingual skills are advantageous)
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to enhance sales performance
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking practices, and grocery store operations is beneficial
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining excellent phone etiquette and customer service standards
