Job Description
Blendings at The Hillside Vineyard is a boutique winery located in Fort Collins Colorado. Our main location is in North Fort Collins and home to our vineyard and production room. We produce a variety of wines and sell them through our tasting rooms, wine clubs, festivals, and farmers markets.
We are introducing a second wine tasting room (Blendings and Bites) in historic downtown Fort Collins and seeking enthusiastic, sales-oriented professionals who love to engage with customers to work with us at this new location. Candidates interested in the wine business are encouraged to apply.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Provide customer service for our customers coming in to taste our wine, order our wine slushee or grab a bit of food (hotdogs, pretzels, nachos).
- Help provide education to our guests interested in our wine. Assist them with a sampling of our wine or a glass of wine.
- Complete the sales process including the operation of the point of sales system
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, physical inventory counts, housekeeping and other back-of-the house duties as needed.
- Occasionally assist with winery special events and tastings at festivals or other events
- Assist with other duties as needed by management.
Qualifications of the job: Previous winery, retail and/or hospitality experience preferred
- Must be 21 years of age
- Interest in and willingness to learn the wine business
- Energetic, outgoing personality and excellent communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills including the ability to listen
- Able to lift 20 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work independently, and also in a team setting
- Must be willing and able to learn a point-of-sale system
- Proven track record of the ability to follow company guidelines
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage plus gratuities.
