Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our manufacturing team. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you'll be an essential part of our team, performing a variety of routine quality verification's working under direct supervision of the Safe Quality Food Practitioners. In this vital role, you will ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards by performing precise inspections and quality control procedures. You will help provide top quality and safe products that meet customers’ requirements and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality control or quality inspection.
- Proficiency with measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Perform visual inspections and data collection to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
- Assist in conducting internal quality audits and participate in external quality assessments to ensure adherence to quality systems.
- Support manufacturing teams by providing feedback on process improvements related to quality control and assurance.
- Document inspection results accurately, prepare reports, and communicate findings effectively to relevant departments for corrective actions.
- Ability to perform detailed data collection and analysis for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple inspections efficiently.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and documenting inspection outcomes clearly.
Physical Demands
Regularly requirements include intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required task(s). Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance. Additional demands may be required.
Work Environment
In addition to normal business hours, work schedules may include after hours and weekends as needed. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by established Company Safety Standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in quality control or assurance within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical computations
- High School Diploma or GED required
Note: Drug screening may be required as part of the hiring process
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
