Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain records of Client care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor or case manager.
- Provide Clients with help moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs or automobiles, and with dressing and grooming.
- Change bed linens, wash and iron Clients' laundry, and clean Clients' quarters.
- Entertain, converse with or read aloud to Clients to keep them mentally healthy and alert.
- Supports Clients by providing housekeeping and laundry services, shopping for food and other household supplies, preparing and serving meals and snacks, and running errands.
- Assists Clients by providing personal services, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Helps Clients care for themselves by teaching the use of a cane or walker, special utensils to eat, special techniques, and equipment for personal hygiene.
- Helps family members care for the Client by teaching appropriate ways to lift, turn, and re-position the Client.
- Advises on nutrition, cleanliness, and housekeeping.
- Records Client information by making entries in the Client journal and notifying the Home Care Director of changing or unusual conditions.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy Client environment by following asepsis standards and procedures, maintaining security precautions, and following prescribed dietary requirements and nutrition standards.

- Escorts to Facility Activity or outside for some fresh air
- Enables Clients to stay in their homes by monitoring and recording Client condition, providing support and personal services, and teaching families.
- Monitors Client condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise.
- Protects the home care agency by adhering to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local requirements.
- Enhances service reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current CPR certification
- TB test
- Registered on the Home Care Aide Registry (If not, we can provide guidance)
- Must have a valid in-state driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
