Bledsoe Construction LLC. is seeking a Survey Field Technician to join our Boise team.
The person in this position will be operating survey instruments and collecting information in the field and by performing computations/drafting in the office.
This is primarily a field Survey Technician Position but could also involve some substantial related duties in the office including AutoCAD/Revit mapping.
Responsibilities:
- Performs field labor related to performing all types of control surveys.
- Accurately run and adjust survey measuring instruments including Digital Levels and Robotic Total Stations.
- Perform some office duties (data reduction, field note reduction, calculations, data checks and staking computations using AutoCAD and/or Revit.) Will also need moderate skills in map drafting and production of survey deliverables.
- Performs mathematical calculations and field checking of field data.
- Takes accurate and clear notes and performs note reduction.
- Reads and understands plans and specifications.
- Know basic sources of measurement errors.
- The employee will adhere to the company's policies, safety plan and the project safety plan.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Qualifications:

- A high school education or equivalent is required, including a background in math, geometry and trigonometry.
- AS or BS Degree in Surveying and Mapping or related degree desired.
- 2 years’ experience in the use of Trimble Total Stations and Data Collectors.
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles of survey measurement, staking and marking.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sources of measurement errors and have thorough knowledge to perform analysis of survey data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and precision.
- MS Word and Excel experience required; experience utilizing AutoCAD and/or Revit is desired.
- Understanding plans and specifications.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
Salary : $30 - $32
