Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Human Resources Support (<1/3)
§ Support benefits administration including enrollments, terminations, and employee questions.
§ Assist with payroll preparation by gathering and verifying timesheets, PTO balances, and changes.
§ Help coordinate performance review reminders, HR communications, training sessions, and policy updates.
§ Ensure HR practices follow federal, state, and local labor laws (particularly CA laws if applicable).
§ Support employee engagement initiatives, events, and internal communications.
Office Administration (40%)
§ Coordinate office maintenance, meeting room scheduling, and office safety protocols.
§ Support leadership with administrative tasks, travel arrangements, expense reports, and meeting logistics.
§ Assist with company events, celebrations, and staff activities.
§ Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements:
§ 1–3 years of experience in HR, office administration, or similar roles.
§ Strong understanding of basic HR processes (recruitment, onboarding, recordkeeping).
§ Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
§ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to prioritize multiple tasks.
§ Experience working in a small-to-medium-size company environment is preferred.
§ Familiarity with U.S. labor laws; California HR experience is a plus.
§ Experience with HRIS systems (Gusto, Paycor, ADP, BambooHR, etc.) is a plus.
