Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash register operations, including processing cash, credit/debit card payments, and giving correct change
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, supporting kitchen operations and food presentation
- Manage customer food orders with professionalism, upselling menu items to enhance sales and customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, kitchen equipment, dining areas, and overall workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food handling duties such as bussing tables, stocking supplies, and supporting food prep tasks as needed
- Ensure timely delivery of orders while managing multiple tasks in a quick service or fast food environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service customer order management, or retail sales transactions
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; strong cash handling skills
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to upsell menu items confidently
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a retail or café environment
