Job Title: Educational Diagnostician – Elementary (Full-Time)
Location: Cypress, TX
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (2026–2027 School Year)
Schedule: 40 Hours per Week | Monday–Friday
Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Educational Diagnostician with a few years of experience in the field, to join a school district in Cypress, TX. This full-time role will focus primarily on elementary aged students, supporting special education services through comprehensive evaluations and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for elementary students
- Interpret assessment data to determine eligibility for special education services
- Develop clear, compliant evaluation reports and recommendations
- Participate in and help facilitate ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and other support staff
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education guidelines
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations and student progress
- Provide guidance to staff and families regarding evaluation results and educational planning
- Support the implementation of appropriate instructional strategies and accommodations
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification (Required)
- Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Psychology, or related field
- Previous experience working with elementary aged students preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and compliance standards (IDEA, TEA)
- Experience conducting ARD meetings and evaluations (there are ARD specialists on most campuses)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
