Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the 2026–2027 school year in Eugene, Oregon. This position will involve traveling between multiple school locations within the district to support students with visual impairments across various grade levels.
Caseload and assignment details are currently being finalized by the district and will be discussed during the interview process.
Assignment Details:
Location: Eugene, OR (97401)
School Year: 2026–2027
Schedule: Full-Time (37.5–40 hours per week)
Setting: Multiple school sites within the district
Travel Required: Yes
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instructional support to students with visual impairments
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Assist with accommodations, assistive technology, and accessibility needs
Support IEP development and implementation
Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
Requirements
Active Oregon TVI certification/license (or ability to obtain)
Previous school-based experience preferred
Ability to travel between district locations
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Experience supporting students with visual impairments across various age groups preferred
Familiarity with IEPs and assistive technology tools preferred
