This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) based onsite in Inman, SC, within a specialized school program dedicated to supporting students with complex communication needs. The student population includes individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Rett Syndrome, and other significant developmental and medical diagnoses. The program emphasizes individualized, multimodal communication methods, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services tailored to students with complex communication challenges.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Teachers of the Visually Impaired, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
- Deliver services using a 3:1 workload model without case management responsibilities.
- Work exclusively onsite with no travel requirements.
- Participate actively in a supportive team of seven experienced SLPs.
- Apply or develop AAC skills to enhance student communication, with training available for motivated candidates.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Must possess a valid Educator certification.
- Experience or interest in working with medically complex developmental populations is highly valued.
- AAC experience is beneficial but not mandatory, as training and support are provided.
