Special Education Teacher | Rifle, Colorado

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Colorado Teaching License (required)
• Special Education (SPED) Endorsement (required)
• Previous experience working with students requiring mild to moderate behavioral and academic support
• Comfortable providing assistance with toileting needs, as necessary
• Ability to foster a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for diverse learners

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and individualized support for a caseload of approximately 25–30 students
• Develop and implement IEPs aligned with student abilities and goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure students’ educational progress
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and interventions tailored to student needs
• Collect data and monitor progress to inform instruction and adjust plans as required
• Support students’ behavioral, emotional, and social development in educational settings
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with all legal and district-specific requirements
