Spanish Gen Ed Teacher - Des Plaines, Illinois

Key Qualifications:

• Hold an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with both Elementary Education and Bilingual Education endorsements
• Proficient in Spanish and English, able to deliver high-quality instruction in both languages
• Prior classroom teaching experience preferred, particularly in elementary or bilingual education
• Demonstrate strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and families
• Ability to create a supportive classroom culture and adapt instructional strategies to diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with grade 3 curriculum standards in both English and Spanish
• Foster an inclusive classroom where all students feel valued and encouraged to excel
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching approaches as needed
• Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to support student language acquisition and academic achievement
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with families regarding progress
