School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Eugene, Oregon

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with diverse communication needs in a vibrant educational community near Eugene, OR. This contract position offers the opportunity to work across two high schools and one elementary school, supporting approximately 33 students in life skills programming from September 8, 2026, through June 17, 2027. Spend half the week at Westmoreland Campus, focusing on special education students, and the other half at Lane Schools, where you’ll foster socialization and communication development.

Ideal candidates bring expertise in school-based speech-language pathology, with CCC certification preferred. Previous experience with AAC and feeding or swallowing (safe eating) is valued, but not required—enthusiastic professionals will receive comprehensive training. Enjoy the autonomy of working independently, while benefiting from regular virtual check-ins and monthly meetings with a robust, collaborative SLP team. On-site support from special education staff, paraprofessionals, and assistants ensures that you’re never alone in meeting students’ needs.

What you’ll bring:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current state licensure and ASHA CCC certification (or CFY supervision possible)
• Experience in school settings and/or life skills programs preferred
• Comfort with AAC and feeding/swallowing interventions, or willingness to learn
• Strong team player with excellent communication and adaptability

What you’ll do:

• Provide direct therapy and develop IEP goals for students with complex communication needs
• Conduct assessments and coordinate safe feeding practices where appropriate
• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to promote engagement
• Maintain case management, progress monitoring, and required documentation
• Participate in SLP team meetings and professional development opportunities
