Step into a vital role supporting student health and wellness during the summer session near Stroudsburg, PA. In this contract position, you’ll work onsite from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, from July 6 through July 30. As a dedicated professional, you’ll deliver preventative health care services, actively manage student health needs, and respond promptly to illness or injury, ensuring students can safely participate in school programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, evaluate, and provide first aid for student illnesses and injuries
- Deliver preventive health services that foster physical, mental, and social well-being
- Educate students, parents, and staff on health topics and safety measures
- Communicate proactively with families and caregivers regarding student health
- Maintain accurate health documentation in accordance with school district protocols
- Promote and uphold a safe and inclusive environment for all students
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Active LPN or RN license in Pennsylvania
- Certification as an Educational Specialist from the Pennsylvania Department of Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is a plus
- Current Red Cross CPR and First Aid Instructor certifications
- 3–5 years of nursing experience, ideally in school, pediatric, or community health settings
- Physical ability to move throughout the school, respond to emergencies, and lift up to 25 pounds
