This contract role calls for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to work with K-8th grade students and collaborate closely with school staff and families. You'll serve two to three campuses in the Lake County area, focusing on providing high-quality therapy for students who need it most.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Have at least three years of hands-on experience providing occupational therapy services, including three years working specifically within a school environment.
- Maintain a current state license to practice occupational therapy and be registered with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR).
- Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for working with diverse student populations in grades K-8.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to eligible K-8th grade students across North Chicago and Waukegan campuses, up to 20 hours per week.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support students' educational goals.
- Travel between two to three campuses as needed for student sessions and team meetings.
- Educate staff and families on strategies to maximize student independence and participation.
