School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Wichita, Kansas

Key Qualifications:

• Current Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC required)
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and early childhood intervention
• Ability to collaborate with another SLP and share caseload responsibilities
• Strong communication skills with young children and school staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy services to a caseload primarily consisting of early childhood/Pre-K students
• Assess and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), focusing on students’ unique needs, especially those using AAC devices
• Coordinate closely with the current MAT leave SLP to ensure continuity of care and effective workload distribution
• Maintain thorough records and contribute to ongoing communications with families and staff
• Provide high-quality service either in-person at the elementary school or virtually, according to candidate preference
