Make an immediate impact supporting students' well-being this summer! Step into a crucial role as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse at a vibrant elementary school, working weekdays from 8:00am to 4:30pm May 27th through June 30th. In this contract position, you’ll play an essential part in creating a safe, healthy environment for elementary students and staff.
What we’re looking for:
- Active RN or LVN license and the ability to work in school settings
- Previous experience in pediatric, community health, or school nursing preferred
- Strong assessment skills and capability to respond quickly to health situations
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Flexibility, compassion, and professionalism working with young learners
What you'll be doing:
- Deliver direct nursing care, including medication administration and treatment for injuries or illnesses
- Guide staff and students on health issues and best practices for disease prevention
- Maintain student health records, documentation, and confidentiality
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and parents/guardians to address any emerging student health needs
- Participate in health screenings, immunization tracking, and emergency response processes
