Step into a rewarding contract position this summer supporting students in a vibrant school setting near Baltimore, MD. This opportunity is perfect for Physical Therapists seeking impactful work with flexible hours, as all assignments follow a Monday–Thursday schedule.
Opportunities Available:
- Extended School Year (ESY) Program: 5-week, in-person assignment from June 29th – July 30th, serving students in both special and general education schools. Professional development kicks off on June 25th. Sessions run 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Special Education) or 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (General Education). Maximum of 6 billable hours per day, 24 hours/week.
- Infants and Toddlers Services & Assessments: Engage in developmental services from June 22nd – July 30th. Assess and assist young learners, working up to 7 hours per day, 28 hours/week, Monday–Thursday.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), with experience or interest in pediatric and school-based therapy
- Previous exposure to ESY programs or early intervention services preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to different school environments and work effectively with diverse student populations
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage a consistent Monday–Thursday schedule
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students in ESY or early intervention programs
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to support student development
- Document sessions and progress in accordance with program guidelines
- Participate in required professional development activities
