Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Rhode Island Teacher Assistant (RI TA) Certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential with experience in school settings
• Passion for supporting children’s educational, social, and emotional development
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other staff
• Adaptability to support classroom routines, small group activities, and individualized student needs
• Professionalism, reliability, and a proactive approach

Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in daily classroom activities, providing instructional and behavioral support to students
• Partner with educators to implement lesson plans, adapt materials, and facilitate learning experiences
• Support classroom organization, preparation of educational resources, and technology use
• Participate in supervision of students during transitions, lunch, and recess to ensure safety and positive interactions
• Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality regarding student information
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive
