The ideal candidate will have 3 years of PR agency experience across consumer packaged goods and lifestyle brands and must demonstrate current, relevant media and creator relationships. The Account Executive will bring strong creativity, writing, and media management skills, along with a proactive, self-starter mindset, to exceed client coverage expectations. The AE will contribute ideas, identify timely opportunities, and help drive integrated storytelling across 5–7 accounts.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supporting the delivery of client programs and developing high-quality content.
Day-to-day client contact on some accounts; attending and developing meeting minutes.
Providing timely and clear reporting and monitoring (for clients, as well as industry-specific trend spotting and issues forecasting).
Day-to-day account coordination.
Drafts press releases, bylines, creative pitches, event/launch strategy docs, and other client communications.
Build and maintain media relationships; consistently secure high-quality 15 media placements per month.
On-site event support and execution (in LA, OC, sometimes nationally).
Supporting social media and influencer campaigns.
Provides junior staff with guidance, learning opportunities, and project delegation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (communications, liberal arts, business or marketing focus preferred)
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Understands the evolution of PR in a digital-first world and stays on the pulse of media landscapes, newsroom agendas, and cultural moments.
Proven ability to develop brand and category relevant story angles, pitch media, and secure earned coverage across lifestyle, CPG, and commerce outlets.
Exceptional writing skills across pitches, press materials, and client communications with speed and accuracy.
Confidence serving as a day-to-day client contact, contributing to calls, managing expectations, and delivering clear communication.
Must be a solutions-oriented self-starter with the ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of cultural trends and ability to translate them into relevant, timely media opportunities.
Has some experience in influencer marketing and social media (including identifying, vetting, and managing creators, gifting programs, etc.).
A keen eye for detail across any copy and reporting.
Proficiency in Office and Google Workspace applications and development of media databases.
