Summary
We are seeking a skilled Crane truck/ knuckle boom operator to join our team at Encore Express. In this role, you will be responsible for operating class a 24' flatbed 6 axle truck with an attached knuckle boom safely and efficiently to facilitate various lifting and moving tasks. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining our high standards of safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operate truck and knuckle boom to deliver sheetrock and misc building materials to commercial/residential jobsites
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of crane/truck
- Follow signals from ground personnel to ensure safe operations during lifts.
- Maintain clear communication with team members to coordinate tasks effectively.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating heavy machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance on cranes and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a class A driver and knuckle boom operator or similar role in the logistics industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to knuckle boom operation and maintenance.
- Valid crane operator/knuckle boom certification is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents related to lifting operations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination.
