Position Summary
The Welding Technican is responsible for operating appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in unloading trucks as needed
- Practice good housekeeping of work area
- Able to attend on-call schedule for weekend/after-hours callouts
- Withstand extreme temperatures
- Read SAE and Metric measurements
- Willing to learn parts diagrams and Blueprints.
- Able to learn Forklift and Telehandler operations
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment for a method based on requirements
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the part that must be welded
- Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces.
- Identify opportunities to increase parts sales and improve margins.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or business training preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in parts sales, inventory management, service operations, or a related field.
- Experience in equipment, industrial distribution, or service shop environments preferred.

- Proven experience as a welder
Work Environment
- Work is performed in a parts warehouse, shop, or service facility environment.
- May occasionally lift parts and materials up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to shop equipment, noise, and warehouse conditions may occur.
