A high-performing contractor specializing in mission-critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure is seeking a Senior Superintendent to oversee major data center construction projects in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. With an established footprint in high-growth markets including Texas and a strong reputation in data center, semiconductor and high-tech manufacturing, this company delivers large-scale, complex facilities with precision and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead field operations for full lifecycle data center builds: from shell/core to fit-out of high-density IT space, electrical substations, MV distribution, UPS & backup power systems, and associated site infrastructure.
- Superintend multiple trade contractors and subcontractors across 24/7 schedule rotation, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets.
- Coordinate with preconstruction, design, estimating, procurement, and commissioning teams to align execution with overall project delivery strategy.
- Manage daily site reporting, RFIs, submittal review, log tracking, change management and site documentation in a high-visibility environment.
- Implement and enforce rigorous safety and QA/QC protocols in mission-critical settings (Tier III / Tier IV data center and high-voltage infrastructure experience preferred).
Qualifications:
- Proven experience supervising multi-million dollar data center or mission-critical construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical sequencing, MV/substation coordination, UPS/generator integration, structural & site civil requirements.
- Excellent leadership of high-volume labour forces and multiple shifts; ability to drive productivity and continuous improvement.
- Outstanding communicator: coordinates effectively with owners, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Located in or willing to relocate to the Dallas-Fort Worth region; availability expected in the near term.
- Preferred: certifications such as OSHA 30, construction superintendent license or equivalent experience in mission-critical sector.
