Blayze Group is partnering with an established specialist contractor to appoint a Concrete / CMU Project Manager for commercial and multifamily projects across Central Florida. The company delivers specialist construction services across concrete, precast, CMU / block, masonry and in-situ concrete scopes.
The Role
- Manage concrete and CMU projects from preconstruction through field delivery, cost control and closeout
- Coordinate with general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, concrete suppliers, rebar fabricators, masonry teams and testing labs
- Support project setup, scopes, budgets, schedules, procurement and phasing plans
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, material approvals, purchase orders, billings, punch lists, warranties and closeout documentation
- Track project costs against budgets, forecast final costs and protect margin throughout delivery
- Support field teams to ensure work is delivered safely, accurately, on schedule and to quality standards
- Assist with estimating where required, including quantity takeoffs, bid reviews, pricing support, inclusions and exclusions
Background Sought
- 5 years of experience as a Project Manager within concrete, masonry, CMU, precast, shell construction, or specialist subcontracting
- Commercial or multifamily vertical construction experience
- Experience with precast, CMU / block, masonry and cast-in-place / in-situ concrete
- Estimating experience would be highly beneficial, especially takeoffs and pricing concrete / CMU scopes
- Strong understanding of formwork, rebar, concrete placement, finishing, grout, mortar and reinforcement
- Experience with job costing, change orders, cost forecasting, project financials and closeout
- Experience using Bluebeam, PlanSwift, OST, Sage Estimating, Procore, MS Project or similar software is useful
- Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
- Must be authorized to work in the US, no visa sponsorship available
