Project Manager | Retail & Restaurant Construction | Houston, TX

$110,000 – $130,000 base salary range

Blayze Group is partnering with a well-established commercial general contractor to appoint a Project Manager within its Houston operations. The business delivers a consistent pipeline of retail and restaurant projects, operating across both ground-up and renovation work for repeat clients.

The company focuses on commercial projects typically ranging from $1M to $15M, including grocery stores, big box retail, and restaurant builds. Work is delivered in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects and strong client relationships.

This position reports into senior leadership and requires a hands-on Project Manager capable of managing projects from preconstruction through to closeout, ensuring delivery across budget, schedule, and quality.

Experience delivering retail, restaurant, or similar commercial construction projects is essential.

The Role:

• Manage projects from preconstruction through to completion

• Oversee budgeting, cost control, and project financials

• Develop and maintain project schedules

• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers across all phases

• Work closely with Superintendents to drive on-site delivery

• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure repeat business

• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents

• Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required standards

Background Sought:

• 5 to 10 plus years experience as a Project Manager with a commercial GC

• Experience delivering retail, restaurant, or similar commercial projects

• Strong understanding of ground-up construction and tenant improvements

• Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency with software such as Procore and Bluebeam

• Strong commercial awareness and cost control capability

• Effective communication and client-facing skills
