Assists the Estimating department with clients, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal requests regarding quotes, bid planning, reporting, and administrative assignments.

Assists the Estimating department with clients, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal requests regarding quotes, bid planning, reporting, and administrative assignments.
STEP INTO THE ROLE
- Solicits quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers by preparing the following: request for proposals (RFPs), making phone calls, e-mailing and advertising utilizing SmartBid software. Returns calls from the subs/suppliers to answer questions or bid results.
- Downloads owner received RFP documents and monitors additional information uploaded by owner. Copies and distributes plan documents.
- Assists bid teams with planning and scheduling pre-bid meetings, bid planning, and bid file set-up and completion.
- Creates bids using HCSS and Excel software programs. (Enters all necessary information into the software by importing, typing, or downloading information.)
- Computer and office skills normally acquired through the completion of two-year post high school degree and/or on-the-job experience.
- Minimum 2 years related office experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and good time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
