Step into a hands-on role where you turn drawings into dependable machinery. Reporting to the Assembly Manager, you’ll bring together fabricated and machined components, rig and load trucks with confidence, and ensure every build meets strict quality and safety standards.
A day in the life
- Assemble complex mechanical systems from fabricated and machined parts—small subassemblies to complete large machines.
- Independently rig and load trucks using overhead cranes.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics with full comprehension to guide each build.
- Select the right tools and equipment to hit the production schedule.
- Perform final inspections so every unit meets quality requirements.
- Complete monthly safety training and practice safe work habits.
- Support internal teams and external customers; provide backup where needed.
- Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe.
- Welding ability is a plus, but not required.

- Strong mechanical aptitude for assembling fabricated and machined components.
- Clear verbal and written communication.
- High attention to detail, thoroughness, problem-solving, sound decision-making, and follow-through.
- Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and metric conversions.
- Foundational mechanical knowledge.
- Overhead crane experience (required).
- 3 years in manufacturing or a similar environment (required).
- Background in heavy industrial machine assembly (preferred).
- Hydraulics exposure (a plus).
