What You’ll Own
- Primary mechanical engineering responsibility for assigned projects; align work with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Creation of models, engineering calculations, and drawings using standard methods and best practices.
- Scheduling and facilitation of design reviews, customer reviews, and release milestones.
- Daily status communication and documentation, including release plans and target dates.
- Technical leadership: provide guidance to less experienced engineers; lead or assist efforts with mechanical and design engineering teams.
- Design-for-manufacture and design-for-assembly focus; ensure fit, form, function, and serviceability.
- Hands-on support for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Field Installation; respond to questions and implement design updates.
- Contribution to SOPs and design guides to standardize quality and accelerate delivery.
- Accountability for outcomes—meet commitments to customers and company objectives; other duties as assigned.
- Active participation in and support for BCT’s Culture and Core Values.
What You’ll Bring
- BS in Mechanical Engineering plus 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience, or equivalent education/experience mix.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD; familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
- Track record designing equipment that meets performance targets, budgets, and timelines.
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively; strong written and interpersonal communication; team-first approach.
- Fluency with MS Office and project tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
- Strengths across Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Machine Building/Assembly, DFM/DFA, Mechanical Design & Engineering.
- CAD Software (SolidWorks or similar)
