Reporting to the Assembly Manager, you begin by reviewing build packets and schematics, planning lifts, and staging the right tools to assemble complex machinery from fabricated and machined components. You’ll independently rig and move loads using an overhead crane, build small and large assemblies, verify fit and function, and perform a final quality check before equipment is released or loaded for shipment. Throughout the day, you’ll support teammates and customers, keep your work area safe and orderly, and complete scheduled safety training.

Throughout the day, you’ll support teammates and customers, keep your work area safe and orderly, and complete scheduled safety training.
What you’ll handle
- Assemble fabricated and machined parts into complete equipment and subassemblies.
- Independently rig, lift, and load equipment and trucks using overhead cranes.
- Execute advanced assemblies across a range of machine sizes.
- Interpret and apply blueprints and electrical/hydraulic schematics.
- Troubleshoot and repair heavy industrial equipment (preferred experience).
- Select proper tools and shop machinery to meet production schedules.
- Perform final inspections to confirm quality standards are met.
- Complete all required monthly safety training and follow safe work practices.
- Support internal teams and external customers as needed.
- Provide departmental backup and cross-coverage when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.
- Perform welding when needed (preferred, not required).

- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, problem-solving, and follow-through.
- Applied math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert between metric and imperial.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and foundational mechanical knowledge.
- Overhead crane experience is required.
- 3 years of related experience in manufacturing or a similar environment.
- Background in heavy machine assembly is preferred.
- Hydraulics experience is a plus.
