Picture your week starting with a kickoff from our Applications Engineering team. As a Project Mechanical Design Engineer, you translate that scope into models, calculations, and a clear plan. You collaborate closely with your Engineering Manager, partner with project management, and coordinate with shop, sales, and field teams to bring new equipment to life on schedule and within budget.
How You’ll Make an Impact- Serve as the lead mechanical engineer on assigned new-equipment projects, aligning design decisions with input from engineering team leads, the engineering manager, project management, shop, and sales.
- Own the mechanical engineering workstream for each project and keep it in lockstep with the defined scope of work.
- Apply formal training and hands-on experience to solve complex design challenges; provide direction to less experienced engineers as needed.
- Drive accountability for timelines and objectives—both personally and across the team—while communicating daily status and release dates.
- Plan and run design reviews and customer reviews, and manage drawing and release milestones.
- Perform calculations and design equipment using standard engineering methodologies, with strong attention to fit, form, function, and manufacturability.
- Lead or assist multi-disciplinary efforts with mechanical and design engineers to advance project goals and develop SOPs and design guides.
- Support Manufacturing, Assembly, and Field Installation by answering questions and implementing design changes as required.
- Develop clear, build-friendly drawings that enable efficient assembly and installation while meeting customer objectives.
- Utilize standard designs and SOPs to deliver engineered products on time and on budget. Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3–5 years of progressively responsible relevant experience, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD; experience with CAD/CAM tools.
- Demonstrated success designing equipment that meets functional requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Skill in prioritizing workloads to achieve company objectives; strong interpersonal and written communication with a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency with MS Office and scheduling/PM tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
- Knowledge areas: Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering; Machine Building/Assembly; DFM/DFA; Mechanical Design & Engineering.
- CAD Software (SolidWorks or equivalent 3D platform)
