Duties
- Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service quality, and staff supervision
- Oversee inventory control, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste through effective food management practices
- Supervise and train staff on food handling, customer service, POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, and safety protocols
- Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods in quick service & fast food or casual dining environments
- Implement food safety standards and conduct regular kitchen inspections to maintain compliance with health regulations
- Lead hiring processes by interviewing candidates and selecting qualified team members for various roles including servers, cooks, baristas, and supervisors
- Monitor budget adherence, manage costs related to food production and labor, and optimize operational efficiency
- Foster a positive team environment through ongoing training & development initiatives and performance feedback
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the hospitality industry, particularly in restaurant management or food service management roles
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; proficiency in cash handling is essential
- Strong background in inventory control, food safety practices, and food handling procedures
- Demonstrated supervising experience with team management, staff training & development, and interviewing skills
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and cost control strategies within a hospitality setting
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally
- Experience working in various dining environments including fine dining, casual dining, banquet settings or catering services is preferred
- Ability to manage shift schedules effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
- Culinary experience or hotel experience is advantageous; barista or coffee experience is a plus
