Responsibilities
- Use order picker equipment, barcode scanners, RF scanners, and manual handling tools to accurately select items from designated warehouse locations.
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pack products securely using appropriate packaging materials while adhering to quality control standards.
- Load and unload shipments with proper safety protocol adherence, ensuring correct placement and inventory accuracy.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management systems (WMS) and perform regular stock checks.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments against orders and updating inventory systems accordingly.
- Follow safety procedures diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe manual handling techniques.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by stocking shelves, order fulfillment, and preparing items for shipment.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure order accuracy before dispatching products.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations, improve workflow efficiency, and uphold safety standards.
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, or pallet jacks is highly desirable; certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems (including barcode scanning for logistics) and RF scanners is beneficial.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely are essential.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately.
- Demonstrated understanding of safety protocols in a warehouse environment; PPE use is mandatory at all times.
- Experience in order picking & packing, shipping & receiving, or warehouse supervision enhances your fit for this role but is not required.
